Went in for an oil change last week and left with a lunch promise! 😂👨🏾‍🍳 Today, I kept my word and brought my friends at Valvoline a little something from my kitchen.

Jerk chicken, rice & peas, creamy mac & cheese with Cajun sausage, and a fresh side salad with grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, and pickled sweet red onion. 🔥😋

A little appreciation served up with plenty of flavor. Enjoy lunch, everyone! 🙌🏾

Birthday brunch for Yolanda Owens and her friends this weekend! 🥂

The menu had a little bit of everything: breakfast spring rolls, fried pork belly with Vietnamese sauce, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, beef tips with rice and peas, freshly cut fruit, pineapple ginger lemonade mimosas, and homemade yogurt pudding with a drizzle of purple yam purée—and plenty more!

Thank you, Yolanda, for choosing Godfrey’s Catering to be part of your birthday celebration. It was a pleasure cooking for you and your guests. Happy birthday! 🎉

A little fruit, a little flair, and a watermelon rose for the finishing touch! 🌹🍉✨

I had the pleasure of creating this fruit platter for Tisha Campbell and Rita Brent When Chef Godfrey brings the fruit, you know I’m going to have a little fun with it! 😄

🌙 Late-Night Carving with Chef Godfrey 🍉🔪

Tonight, I had the honor of carving two beautiful Mississippi treasures—comedian Rita Brent and the wonderful woman behind her greatness, her mother. ❤️

Every line was carved with love, respect, and appreciation. Two beautiful women, one special watermelon, and a whole lot of Mississippi pride!

Hand-carved by Godfrey Morgan.
