Happy Birthday, Lucy! 🎉

It’s always an honor to cook for locals—especially families I’ve known nearly my whole life.

The Poundstones were my neighbors all through middle school and high school. Their kids were (and still are) some of my closest friends. We had countless sleepovers, neighborhood football games, family dinners, and even spent Christmas Days together.

So being invited to cook for Louise’s birthday was truly special. Earlier this year I had the joy of cooking for Mike’s birthday as well, and last night felt like another full-circle moment.

A wonderful evening with wonderful people.

Fresh-caught fish + an Italian-loving group = the perfect night in the kitchen. 🎣🍝
I built a custom menu around their Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, and Triggerfish, cooking each one a different way and pairing it all with two homemade pastas, caprese salad, and garlic bread.
This is why I love cook-your-catch dinners — every menu is personal.
