Yoke Social Table began with excitement and faced its share of heavy chapters, but our story is far from over. If Yoke has taught us anything, it’s that the very tools meant to bear weight can also guide us forward. We have carried struggles, stress, love, and loss, and through it all, we’ve learned that time heals everything, if we allow it.

Whether we were wronged or made mistakes, owning our part and having the willpower to be and do better is all we truly need. We know you may lose people along the way, and walking that path may be lonely, but with guidance and the proper tools, you will find the right people, the ones who will fight beside you and help guide you.

Giving up is for those who forget their own worth. Mistakes aren’t the end; they are lessons written in sweat and heartbreak, reminders that the road is built through trial. At Yoke Social Table, we will rewrite our wrongs and move forward, not just for ourselves, but to show others they don’t have to walk through their storms alone. No matter how heavy the yoke, with the right tools and the right people, we can always build something better.

Official Statement – March 13th

As of Thursday, March 13th, The Social Table: Yoke & Co will no longer be operating within The Garage Food Hall.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, again.

It’s been one unforgettable, chaotic, beautiful, and heartbreaking year. I’ve learned more than I could have ever imagined—about business, about people, about myself. In the last three months, as a solo business owner, I had the chance to stand on my own two feet and try again. I met some truly incredible small business owners who lifted me up when I felt like I couldn’t keep going. For that, I am beyond grateful.

Though we finally started to build real community, again—and in the last few weeks, we began to show real, strong sales growth—it still wasn’t enough. We were asked to gather our things and move on. And that hurts. Deeply.

I’m angry. Not just at the situation, but at myself. Angry that just as we were getting it right, just as the pieces were starting to come together, it still slipped away. I’m sad and disappointed that I didn’t act sooner. That I didn’t see the red flags. That I let the wrong people into my circle and allowed their choices to compromise something I poured my heart into.

We made it nearly three years. That alone is something to be proud of.

I’ll never forget those first two months—no food provider, no staff, just me trying to keep it alive. And then, one by one, people showed up. Incredible people. People who believed not just in the mission of Yoke & Co, but in me. To those people: I’m sorry. I’m sorry I let you down. Again.

I don’t know what comes next. But I’m choosing to leave that in God’s hands. I still believe in the vision, in the mission, and in the power of community. And I still believe that somehow, somewhere, Yoke will rise again and we can continue to fix and rebuild.

With love, regret, and hope,
Anthony Walker

One thing I’ve learned from being down is that, as a business owner, no matter what you did or didn’t do, people will always expect you to make it happen. This life isn’t for the weak, but I’m grateful for the hard lessons it has given me. God has shown me that the only person I can truly count on is myself, while putting all my faith in Him.

It’s a tough world, filled with lessons that don’t come easy. If you’re thinking about doing this, know that it will be hard—but you can do it. Be honest, be real, and stay true to yourself, because at the end of the day, all you can do is try to fix the things beyond your control and keep moving forward. The man upstairs will guide you, even when all odds are against you, and He will give you the strength to carry any burden.

If you need a reminder of that strength, watch Eric Thomas’ “You Owe You”—a message about self-reliance, perseverance, and believing in yourself when no one else does. It’s a tough journey, but you were built for it. Keep pushing.

At Yoke Social Table, we’ve always believed that great food isn’t just about what’s on the plate—it’s about the pride, the passion, and making sure every bite is hot, fresh, and right. Anyone can throw out the same ingredients we use, whether it’s from a food truck or a restaurant, but let’s be honest… you’ll never get that same experience as you do with us.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve forgotten what it means to be dreamers. To learn, to fail, to get back up, and to grow. We live in a world that makes it incredibly difficult to make mistakes, let alone fix them, because too many would rather tear people down than see them rise.

But being a dreamer means refusing to let failure define you. It means standing tall when the weight of doubt and criticism tries to crush you. It means choosing growth over comfort, resilience over resentment, and progress over perfection.

Our generation—and those that come after us—will have it even harder. The pressure to be perfect, to never stumble, and to always have the right answer is heavier than ever. But we can make it a little easier by choosing to teach one another, to be open to learning from our mistakes, and to challenge ourselves not just to acknowledge them, but to fix them. Growth isn’t just about personal success; it’s about lifting others up and making sure that those who follow have the tools, the knowledge, and the courage to do better.

Mistakes are how you learn. Mistakes are how you teach. Mistakes are how you grow.

So let this be a reminder: Dream boldly. Fail courageously. Rise relentlessly. And never let the voices of those who fear change keep you from becoming everything you’re meant to be.
