It was a busy (and delicious) weekend at the Homemade Catering kitchen!

Friday kicked things off with appetizers for a bachelorette party—spinach artichoke dip, cheesy olive bread, and fresh bruschetta.

Saturday I had the privilege of catering the Buchanan County Democratic Dinner, serving up smothered chicken, twice baked potatoes, green beans, and chocolate cake.

And we wrapped up the weekend this morning with brunch—croissant & sausage egg casserole, sausage wontons, and fruit & yogurt parfaits.

Grateful for all the opportunities to cook, create, and serve this community! ❤️

#16 & 17 Roasted Tomato Soup with Honey & Brie Grilled Cheese. I’ll be honest… I’ve never been a tomato soup person. The canned stuff, gross- Not for me. And a lot of homemade versions end up tasting way too much like spaghetti sauce.

But this one… this one changed my mind.

#15 Harvest Cobb Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing, this was a very refreshing and filling salad. Loaded with pecans, bacon, chicken, apples, pear, dried cranberries and goat cheese.

#14 Southwest Fajita Veggies w/ mixed greens, cilantro lime rice and creamy jalepeno lime dressing. I love homemade dressings and this one was out of the park good! (I always use pickled jalepenos- a nice little kick without being too spicy)

I have a client in Waterloo that orders from me frequently. Today’s delivery was fruit pizza cookies, and when I dropped them off, they said, "These cookies are pretty famous around here" I love hearing that!
