We are looking forward to seeing Denison peeps at the Saturday morning market! Downtown Denison Farmers Market is at the outdoor venue at the 700 block of Main Street in Denison. Come by for a special deal on 2oz Bears, half price (2.50!) for our nation's 250th birthday! Enjoy them in Texoma Blend or Lemon Zest for your sweet iced tea preparations. Have a star-spangled Saturday with us! We'll have a full case of Vanilla Bean Creamed Honey jars available and newly stocked quart jars of our Texoma Blend as well. Make the trip, because Sherman Moonlight Market on W Houston will not be happening this month, according to the organizers.

On a separate note, we have restocked all 3 flavors of our gift-packaging of infused honeys at The Impeccable Poppy. Drop by and see Teresa and her fabulous staff for all your gift needs and especially pick up sweet and savory items for your 4th celebrations this week.

A young man reached out to me on Saturday about where I sell. It didn't sink in at the time, but I apologize for those of you who don't attend the Downtown Denison Farmers Market on a regular basis. If I sell with this market, you can find me in the field on the 700 block of Main Street in Denison, where Main Street meets South Armstrong. At the end of October, the Denison Farmers Market moves indoors to the rotunda of the Katy Depot. We sell there or behind the George Tavern for the remainder of the winter season through the first part of April. Then we again return to outdoor sales starting the weekend of Doc Holiday. I very much appreciate the effort my customers give to seek me out, and I am humbled by your repeat business. Thanks again!
This week you can find me just west of downtown Sherman on Houston Street at the Moonlight Market on W Houston. The map will be posted on Friday afternoon, but I normally have a parking spot stall right across the street from 903 Brewers. There are so many amazing vendors at Moonlight Market, you will enjoy your shopping trip. I'm going to try to snag a couple of pieces of cheesecake from Cheesecake Plus and a jar of Lemon Garlic Honey from my friend Amber at A Savory Taste. I'll be trying something yummy from Small Batch, TX like the scorpion bread & butter pickles or mild salsa. It's a surprise every time!

Looking forward to taking a closer look at 2 honey supers next week. Keep your fingers crossed that my ladies will dry up the nectar and not eat too much of it before then! Right now, the honey will be slim pickings for much of north Texas. The aster will flower in July and shortly after that, Snow on the Prarie will make its debut in fields. The honey from this nectar leaves a burning sensation in your throat, but some people like it. I'm grateful to know several beekeepers in the area with bulk honey for sale. I'll keep offering my Texoma Blend in months to come.

In the meantime, please visit The Impeccable Poppy in downtown Sherman. They stock my most popular honey varieties in adorable 8oz squeeze bottles. I created new, very sophisticated labels for these neat little gifts. Teresa has some amazing Fathers' Day gifts available, too, if you're looking for something more savory!

My deepest thanks to Tom Bean Feed and the lovely vendors who were there today. I want to especially thank a young lady who helped me pack up my honey at the end of the market. You were very sweet, and I know from sweet!

The owner of the feed store deserves my thanks as well for loading the heavy stuff at the end of the day. Good people!

FYI, if you bought body butter today and were expecting honey sugar scrub, just blend the body butter with plain, white granulated sugar and you will have just what you wanted!

Looking forward to this afternoon! Just watched the morning forecast by KXII weather man Brady Blackstock, and he showed upcoming skies should be clearing after noon today. Hooray!
