Before Flip ‘n Patties Sugar Land opened its doors, this was lunch. 😂 Filipino-Texan food, family recipes, 100% Texas Wagyu — and a guy eating salad and an H-E-B cheese snack in the middle of a construction site.

Doctor said eat healthy. Stomach agreed. Angie made sure. 🙏

Good news: I’m still eating salmon. It just comes on a banana leaf now, next to the Chicken PuPu and a bucket of Hand-cut Fries 🤣.

October is Filipino American History Month and this week we’re sharing three dishes and one family story.

Siopao, the bun that started it all. Our family steamed these in our garage before we had a food truck or a restaurant.
