Some Saturdays can be lazy days; but, other Saturdays are for . Today was the latter. I had a fantastic first visit to their roastery in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where I participated in a live cupping hosted by . On the table were single origins coffees from Brazil (Cooxupé Cooperative imported by ), Ecuador (Segundo Chalan, Maria Rivera, Yuri Pardo, and Leonardo Robles, imported by ), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Mapendo imported by , whose co-founder, .ngokwey, was on hand to share their story and sourcing strategy. We were also treated to a couple of blends that showcased the beauty of multiple terroirs in a single cup.
