Fumis always had a chicken dish on the menu in North shore. We've always wanted to bring it back at Ala Moana and make it more uniquely ours.
For years, we have been looking to recreate an amazing garlic basil fried chicken we had from our past: strong garlic, spices, amazing crunch.
Nothing quite hit the mark—until we took matters into our own hands. We spent months cooking up our very own garlic Basil Chicken with the Fumi’s spin.
We marinated it overnight with our famous garlic flavors, added our in-house spices blend, and finished it with fresh basil, to give it a nice mix of new and familiar local flavors.
