Pan-fried pork chops, Mac salad, and fried rice remain one of our all time comfort food plates. Their crispy pork with a perfectly juicy center is next level. Bring the `Ohana because these portions are legit.

Fabiani’s bakery in Kihei, Maui, killed 🔪 it for the second year in a row. Last year, it was Alice in Wonderland themed for our annual party but this year it was tiki themed. Cupcakes are Hurricane, Tiramisu, Mai Tai, and Pina Colada with a rum shooter.

Michelle and her team are super talented and there is nothing they can’t handle. Light, flavorful, moist, and beyond creative. We can’t thank them enough for knocking this out of the park and making us the envy of the season. Happy Halloween `Ohana.

Lahaina Reborn 🙏🏼 Aloha `Ohana. We haven’t posted much since the fires ravaged Maui but we’re back with a new place with special meaning to us, Kohola Brewery 🍻. . We used to stop by their spot in Lahaina to visit Travis, Chloe, and Brian for some frosty brews and listen to epic sessions from . We’re glad they’re back at it and happy to support a local business get back on its feet.

We visited for the grand opening and have been back several times to try more of their menu. They have a secret weapon this time around and one of our favorite chefs, , created a killer lineup. KB has arguably the best fried chicken on Maui and their smash burger is action 🤯. The musubi are a must and we went for the Adobo Pork Belly and Unagi-Spam which hit the spot. Coming in behind those were the seared Ahi, Bulgogi Pork steamed buns, and Beer-ia tacos. The pretzel was on the sweet side, instead of savory, which wasn’t our favorite, but overall a legendary menu with affordable prices, excellent portion sizes, and attentive service. You owe it to yourself to go try it out.

We couldn’t figure out which to post from this week’s adventures so we’re showing Aloha for two local companies here on Maui. The first is the Ahi Katsu with wasabi drizzle, two scoops rice, and Mac salad from by Costco. Super crispy, fresh, and a touch of salt from the furikake. Extra points for sweet potato mixed in the Mac salad 🤩. Next, is one of our go-to kau kau tins from in Kahului. Mochiko chicken with Hapa rice is always action! Both of these places are within two minutes of each other and you can’t go wrong with either of them. 5/5 Shaka’s 🤙🏽 .

Trying out a new spot for grinds today and it was action!! This is the crispy chicken Katsu plate with two scoops rice and side salad. We’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. 5/5 Shaka’s 🤙🏽

Secret menu item alert 🚨 Crispy waffle ice cream sandwich with creamy vanilla ice cream, salty bacon, and Fireball maple syrup. This was game changing. We were stuffed after everything else but we couldn’t resist this after the verbal of the dessert. Besides this, we also got the tenders, Mac & cheese, and beans. We’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. 5/5 Shaka’s 🤙🏽

It’s been too long since we’ve been to Umeke’s in Kona but we got a chance to cruise by before for some pre-gaming. Pictured, are the Korean chicken, poke nachos, oyster shooter with bug juice, and some crafty beverages from - The wontons were light and crispy with the fish being “off da hook”. The Korean chicken is a must have. Crunchy, tender, juicy, winnahz. How many know what bug juice is?! Let us know in the comments. With or without?!

Happy Aloha Friday `Ohana. Got any plans for this weekend? We’re cruising back to Kona for an EPIC show but first stop is for happy hour pupu’s and hydration. Their selection of seafood is always super fresh and you can’t beat the level of service. Mahalo to Chad and Nicole for the great experience. 5/5 Shaka’s 🤙🏽
