We had matinee tickets at Biltmore Town Center Regal Grand this past Wednesday and got there well before showtime so we could have lunch at Hickory Tavern. It had been a while since we'd been to the Tavern. We were both surprised by the serving sizes, but not the excellent quality. We won't wait as long to go back again.

Beautiful day at Mills River Parks & Recreation yesterday! I've done plenty of gardening in my day, but just watching park crew drill hundreds of holes in three rows and sticking starter plants in each made my back ache. Click images to see full view, including the guy who drew the short straw ;) drilling hole after hole.

Park crews are actively working on land and river Hurricane Helene recovery and remediation. It feels good to see everything coming back under such good stewardship.
