As we shelter in place, many of us find that we have time to tend to things we've neglected far too long. So, this is an excellent time to bring our readers up-to-date on some restaurant recommendations that I completed just before everything shut down.

My three additions are Mott 32, a Chinese tour de force in the Palazzo, The Golden Steer Steakhouse on West Sahara, described by them as Las Vegas's oldest steakhouse; and CUT in the Palazzo, Wolfgang Puck's version of his famous Beverly Hills, California restaurant.

Was approached late last year about writing a column in the monthly magazine "Las Vegas Food and Beverage Professional." I accepted the offer, and for the past four months my column "May I Recommend..." has appeared, in which I review in depth a restaurant of my choosing. The only thing constant about the fabulous, world-class Las Vegas restaurant scene is change. Terrific, long-established destinations close (for many different reasons) and great new ones take their place. Not yet on the website but trending in that direction (after another visit) is Il Chianti in Henderson. Check it out, and our many new posts coming shortly!
