Why independent bakers... such as myself take pride in some of the work we do.... I am NOT a professional... I am passionate.
Things go wrong in baking ALL of the time..trust me..I know... buuut there IS a difference between malfunction vs. a shirker.

The last photo was made by a baker.
Her professional skills and insight thought THAT cake was acceptable to be turned in as a celebratory win.
😒

This is why bakers get the heat ..because others make bad decisions based on their lack of interest or motivation or misery.. who's to know...

I wasn't even happy with MY product.. because like I said.. things can go wrong.. the design I did for this was placed in the freezer 1st..so when i was to transfer it onto fresh buttercream on the cake..the image broke... 😖....my heartache in THAT moment... but i had to pivot and did my best to fix it.. and the end result is the the colorful cake you get to see below....

While I may give myself a 6 on effort..compared to the other cake..its a 9....

Celebrate the wins.
No matter how small.

Spain hasn't had a reigning queen in over 150 years, and that's about to change.

Her name is Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and she's only 20. As the eldest daughter of King Felipe VI, she's first in line to the Spanish throne.

But she isn't just waiting for a crown. Leonor has trained as an officer in all three branches of Spain's armed forces, and is fluent in three languages, with several more studied.

The last woman to rule Spain in her own right was Queen Isabella II, whose reign ended in 1868. If Leonor takes the throne, she'll be the first reigning queen in more than a century and a half. What a thing to prepare for.
