Pop Stand Update
First we’d like to say that Harlan has been such an amazing community for us to be a part of, we thank you! We have really loved getting to know so many of you and your families :)
�Our first year kept us crazy busy! New food, new drinks... adjusting from a soda shop model to a pizza shop! That was quite a surprise! But I think we’ve got the pizza shop thing happening now, adding more ovens and delivery, working on our recipes, training, and learning.
We wholeheartedly apologize to all you who have experience wrong orders, forgotten salads/dressings/drinks/etc…, long waits, missed tickets, and many many others We Are Sorry!!
This second year here, is probably more characteristic of what regular business flow will be like. People are getting back to routine, back to school, and we’re no longer new!
Sales reflect that change and total sales are down about 17% from last year.
As you've noticed, we have adjusted our hours. This is to minimize unnecessary labor expenses.
Our apologies that it has bounced around a little… we will probably adjust them again in the winter & spring. But for this late summer/fall we will be:�
Monday- CLOSED ($9 Monday special is now Tuesdays)
Tuesday 3-9
Wednesday 11-9
Thursday 11-9
Friday 11-9
Saturday 11-9
Sunday- CLOSED
These will be our hours until 9 is too late and we have to go back to 8. If you really need something for a special Monday lunch or dinner please just reach out and we can discuss it.
Also, I want to say, to those of you who don't come in anymore for one reason or another, we miss you. I am truly sorry if your experience here was off-putting. Good customer service really is our top priority. Teaching the kids how to judge fire times with the food has been quite a challenge. Between online orders, walk-in parties, large phone orders, deliveries and DoorDash, it is has taken some time to work through. But this shop, or any shop that's here, will only be able to survive by the continued support from the local community. Fort Wayne stopped showing up because we're not new and now they have their own dirty soda shops to go review (although they don't have our pizza AND Harlan was the first😁🙌).
It might take me some time to accommodate some of your requests, but promise I hear them. We now have delivery and door dash, we also have vanilla ice cream for floats and small sundae's, we offer 2 dessert pizzas and 4 different cheesy breads. All brought about by conversations and your requests! We also pretty regularly accommodate and/or deliver 20-25 pizzas to schools, nearby businesses or for a family gathering. There's no way we could have attempted that last year!😅 So I'd say that's some progress!!
We have a new drink menu to publish here soon so keep an eye out for that along with a couple new pizzas.
This fall/winter we plan to add some event nights at the shop! Karaoke or trivia... and hopefully get someone out on the patio to do some music before it gets too cold!
