3 years ago, I took a leap of faith and decided I wanted more growth.
Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack gave Plated by D the opportunity to open our first official storefront. It was scary, but exciting in all the best way…so I went for it. In June, we left our little shop in Lodi, NJ and moved into a much bigger space in Hackensack.
That chapter brought so many blessings. We met incredible clients, built real friendships, and were given opportunities I’ll always be grateful for. It also came with its fair share of challenges that pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect.
By summer 2025, it was time to renew our lease. As I was preparing to move forward, there were some changes being introduced throughout the mall. After taking everything into consideration, I had to really think about what was best for the future of Plated by D.
After a lot of conversations, reflection, and standing firm in what I believe in, I made the decision that it was time for a new chapter.
Since then, I’ve been searching for the right place to call home and I found it.
East Rutherford, New Jersey (right off Route 17) is where our next chapter begins. Our new space may be smaller, but it feels just right for us, and we’re so excited to grow into it.
I just want to say thank you to every client, friend, and family member who has supported us along the way. This past year has been a big one, and I’m so grateful for all of it.
