Marlena Gilbert, G-D School Committee Chair Groton is a beautiful town with a long time reputation of traditionally offering great schools. I intend on protecting and preserving that reputation.

Our family searched for the perfect place to build our new home and after viewing many surrounding towns... Groton was our choice. We purchased the land in 2008 and moved into our new home in 2011. We chose the town of Groton for many different reasons but the main reason we came to town is the school district. We wanted our son to have a well rounded, quality public education. The fact that Grot

on is a great community that offers competitive sports for our son, unique dining and a country quaint downtown was a fantastic bonus. We have developed great friendships over the last four years with many families in the community and I have enjoyed volunteering through the years as a basketball coach with Hoops For Fun, soccer coach for GDYSC, Pack 12 Cub Scouts Den Leader and Community Outreach with APEX. Groton has given our family a sense of community and a place to plant our roots. I would like to show my appreciation and ask for the opportunity to serve on the Groton Dunstable School Committee so I may help elevate our quality school district to become an exceptional school district.
