A cavalryman carried only what was needed, but what he carried mattered.

Saddle packed. Gear accounted for. Horse cared for. Ready to move when the order came.

There was no telling exactly what the road ahead would ask of him, so being prepared wasn’t as much a virtue as it was simply part of the job.

That’s one of the things we like about the old cavalry.

There’s something worth carrying forward in that mindset. Take care of what you’ve been given. Do the work in front of you. And be someone others can count on when you’re needed.

That’s the spirit behind the name Cavalry.

Different work. Same idea: be ready for what’s asked of you.
