Message from Karen - ok so if you REALLY know me then you know how obsessed I am with running. Almost as obsessed as I am about rescuing animals. So obsessed that I’ve been able to get a couple of my staff members into the sport 🏃‍♀️. I’ll be taking a break from my marathon training to run at this event, that’s how important this 5k is to me!

Red Dog Farm is putting together a casual fun run at the end of the month to raise funds for all the animals they care for - cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs, chickens, the list goes on. All proceeds benefit their organization and help save lives. In case you didn’t know, all our cats come exclusively through their organization and we’ve been working together for nearly a decade.

I’ll be there running with some of my staff, and nothing would make me happier than to have some of our supporters come out to this event. Entry fee is only $5 so you got nothing to lose!! Run, walk, jog, or whatever you gotta do to get across the finish line. This is a casual event open to folks with all experience levels. See ya there! 🏁

Have you supported your local cat cafe recently?? If not, you should totally come by and see us and the cats! This is Charli and she’s a little black kitten, and was definitely the runt of her litter. She’s been gaining weight but she’s gonna be a small gal!

Anyways, yesterday was such a slow day for us that we just closed even earlier than anticipated. We had been open on the 4th of July the past few years but this year was just not worth our time and energy.

We are OPEN TODAY with normal hours and would love you see your smiling faces! Make a reservation to visit us because we may not have any walk-in space for you if you show up without a reservation. Walk-ins are first come first serve but we can never guarantee your slot without a reservation. We limit how many visitors at a time are allowed to see the cats. Obligatory annual 4th of July post with the tiniest hat. Every year we find this hat and make the cats wear it lol. We’ve had this little hat for almost a decade. Not sure where it came from but we are just as shocked as you are that it’s still intact after all these years.

Also - we are going to close between 3-4 today because business is sloooowwww.
