When I decided to pursue my own adventure: there was no blueprint, no how-to, no instruction manual. I didn't get to ride on the coattails of success from someone before me. I built this business from nothing, from scratch, from the ground up. Through late evenings and early mornings, through sleepless nights and stressful days; I showed up with a fire and a fight to accomplish the dream.
Nature's Plate Vegan Food Truck was indeed a dream fulfilled. We made connections and partnerships, built community, supported local farmers and opened the minds of SO many people to what vegan food is and can be.
Nature's Plate was a part of some really cool events.
Nature's Plate chef'd top-level dinners.
Nature's Plate catered 2 weddings.
Nature's Plate aired on Live TV, twice.
Nature's Plate was selected for a Guest Chef opportunity at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Nature's Plate was a nominee for Putnam County Rookie Business of the Year.
I am extremely proud of myself for all I was able to accomplish in just 2 short years of operation. The food truck opened doors for me I never thought possible, and the experience was instrumental to shaping who I am today.
We as humans are ever-evolving. Circumstances change and change us. Dreams morph into something new. We grow older and our mindset and outlook on life shifts. This dream has shifted, but the chapter will be added to one of the best seasons of memories in my life.
The food truck as it currently stands is no longer a sustainable option. It is with much thought, careful consideration and an unwavering desire to continue to internally evolve that I have made the difficult decision to sell the truck. This is not a decision I take lightly and is not equated to failure. On the contrary, it is a business-forward decision to ensure the continued success of Nature's Plate. Since 2023, I have dedicated my life to building this brand and that won't stop just because the food truck is gone. I love everything this brand is and represents. Nature's Plate LLC will continue to be an operating business in 2027 and beyond. We will continue to cater weddings, do kitchen take-overs and elevated plated dinners. We will still run our local SoupScription this fall/winter. We will continue to partner with Market Wagon for deliverable goods. We will continue to source produce from local farmers and collaborate with other restaurants to bring our vegan cooking to the people. We are still SO EXCITED for our 2 Year Anniversary Party at The Whisk this December and our Gainbridge Fieldhouse Guest Chef position. We will end the 2026 season strong and continue to look forward to what the future has in store!
I cannot forget to include a thank you to all the people who ensured I wasn't completely alone on this adventure.
To all my friends and family who donated countless hours prepping, working events, washing dishes, loading or unloading the truck: thank you.
To those who had mechanical knowledge and gave me advice/resources or fixed the truck for free: thank you.
To those who let me vent, were a shoulder to cry on or a word of encouragement: thank you.
To those who sent me events and helped research logistics: thank you.
To all our customers and regulars who supported us and were excited to see us wherever we went: thank you.
To the businesses and restaurants who opened their doors for us to serve: thank you.
Without all of you, this dream wouldn't have even made it off the ground. From the bottom of my heart, I will be eternally grateful for your services.
We have several more events on the books in the next couple months if you would like the opportunity to visit the truck one last time! I wanted to be honest and forthcoming with the changes that will be happening to the business that you all love and support. Please be patient during this time of transition and check here for further updates.
Remember, friends:
"Die with memories, not dreams"
See you soon, for the same great food, just in a different form 🌱
