With football season here, we figured it was time to answer a question we get asked all the time: “Whose jersey is hanging on the back wall?”

The jersey belonged to Mr. Al McKay, pictured here standing proudly in front of it! Mr. Al was a member of the Leavelle McCampbell Class of 1971 and wore this jersey during his playing days. He later donated it to BlueTop Grill, where it has remained a special piece of local history ever since.

We’re proud to have Mr. Al’s jersey hanging in the BlueTop—and even prouder to introduce y’all to the man who wore it!
