the City BBQ family is truly that; a family.
Today I am overwhelmed with love from my customers who showed up to celebrate the soon arrival of our babygirl, (and from several customers who have already given me gifts but couldn’t attend today).
Strangers, turned to regulars, turned to friends.
I love working in our small town, seeing the same friendly and familiar faces each day.
Working in customer service is so much more than just pouring coffee and taking orders, somewhere along the way, you learn people’s stories. You celebrate their birthdays, their anniversaries, their good days and their hard days. You know what they’re going to order before they even sit down. You notice when they’re missing. You laugh together, you pray together, and sometimes you become a small part of each other’s lives without even realizing it.
I never expected that a job serving breakfast would give me relationships like these.
But God has a funny way of putting the right people in our paths. ❤️
I’m so thankful for ALL of our customers here at City BBQ. And today, I was reminded just how blessed I am to be a small part of this community.
