🍎 HAYRIDES, PUMPKINS & APPLE PICKING
Your Grand Rapids-area fall guide

Somewhere between “we should do something this weekend” and buying another bag of grocery-store apples, there’s a better plan.

Pull on a sweatshirt, grab your favorite people, and head to a local farm. These 10 spots bring the apple picking, pumpkin hunting, wagon rides, and bakery stops that make fall in West Michigan worth getting outside for.

🍎 ROBINETTE’S
3142 4 Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids
A classic fall outing close to town. Pick apples, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, and stop at the Apple Haus for c***r and donuts. Come for the orchard. Leave debating whether you bought enough donuts.

🎃 SCHWALLIER’S COUNTRY BASKET
1185 9 Mile Rd NW, Sparta
U-pick apples and pumpkins, friendly farm animals, and plenty for the kids to explore. Free tractor-wagon rides run on fall weekends, while the corn maze and Back 40 offer more reasons to stay awhile.

🍎 ED DUNNEBACK & GIRLS FARM
3025 6 Mile Rd, Grand Rapids
Make a day of apple picking, pumpkin picking, and exploring the corn maze. The family farm’s market gives you plenty of opportunities to take something delicious home after the outdoor fun.

🚜 FRUIT RIDGE HAYRIDES
11966 Fruit Ridge Ave NW, Kent City
If the hayride is the main event, put this one on your list. Horse-drawn rides through the farm pair with u-pick apples, pumpkins, and a corn maze for a full afternoon of fall traditions.

🎃 POST FAMILY FARM
5081 Bauer Rd, Hudsonville
Pumpkin picking, wagon rides, farm animals, and homemade pumpkin donuts make Post an easy choice for a family outing. Find your future jack-o’-lantern, then reward your excellent pumpkin judgment with a bakery stop.

🍩 HEIDI’S FARMSTAND & BAKERY
11999 Cascade Rd SE, Lowell
Pick your pumpkin, explore the corn maze, and save room for fresh donuts and c***r slushies. This is a pumpkin-and-treats stop, with a farmstand full of seasonal goodies for your kitchen and porch.

🎃 DEEP ROOTS PRODUCE
8410 Whitneyville Ave SE, Alto
Hunt for pumpkins, explore the corn maze, meet the farm animals, and let the kids enjoy the Farmyard. Horse-drawn hayrides are offered on select dates, so check the schedule if a ride is on your must-do list.

🍎 FARMHAUS FARMS
9265 Kenowa Ave SW, Grand Rapids
Fill a bag with u-pick apples, wander the corn maze, and visit the bakery. Horse-drawn hayrides are scheduled on Saturdays. Check current ride times before heading over, then build your afternoon around apples and treats.

🍎 RASCH CHERRY & APPLE MARKET
17647 40th Ave, Conklin
Pick apples, browse the market, and enjoy autumn donuts and a c***r slushie. Pumpkins are available for picking or buying pre-picked when the patch opens. Check the farm’s updates for current varieties and pumpkin availability.

🎃 THE ORCHARDS AT RED BARN
3550 Alden Nash Ave NE, Lowell
Apple picking, pumpkins, a corn maze, farm animals, and fresh bakery treats make this a stop with plenty to do. Beyond the Barn admission and the apples or pumpkins you take home are separate purchases.

Before you go, check each farm’s current hours, picking availability, admission, and ride schedule. Not every activity runs every day, and apple varieties change as the harvest moves along.

Save this guide, send it to your fall-adventure crew, and tell us: where are you going first?
