Grand Rapids Symphony Celebration of Soul The Celebration of Soul dinner and awards presentation begins at 5pm on Saturday, February 16th at DeVos Place, Steelcase Ballroom A.

Symphony with Soul featuring Marvin Sapp with the Grand Rapids Symphony follows at DeVos Performance Hall. The eight annual Celebration of Soul Dinner and 2013
Dr. MaLinda P. Sapp Legacy Award presentation will take place in DeVos Place, Steelcase Ballroom A on Saturday, February 16, 2013. The evening will begin with a gourmet three-course dinner followed by performances by the Grand Rapids Symphony Mosaic Scholars. The evening will culminate with the Dr. MaLinda P. Sapp Legacy Award presentations to Edyde Evans Hyde, Rev. Nathaniel Moody and Baxter Community Center highlighting the extraordinary accomplishments and commitment to the advancement of all people in West Michigan. Event attendees will then adjourn to DeVos Performance Hall for the twelfth annual Symphony with Soul concert featuring the Grammy-nominated Grand Rapids Symphony and Grand Rapids own Grammy-nominated soloist: Marvin Sapp. Immediately following the concert, guests will have the opportunity to meet Symphony musicians and Dr. MaLinda P. Sapp Legacy Award honorees at the post-concert reception.
