✨ Cozy up in the barn this fall with some cocktails and crafts during happy hour!

This month's session will be hosted by the talented crafter and artist-in-residence alum Jenny Torino (.torino). You are welcome to bring your own project or try something new. We’ll have a bunch of simple crafting supplies available for you to tinker with.

There will also be live music and delicious food and drinks on the menu. Tag your craft crew! ✨

Farmers Update 👩🏼‍🌾

We're in the dog days of summer! The humidity is high, the tomatoes are cranking, we're still drowning in weeds, but! the nights are starting to cool off and the crew is arriving for work in sweatshirts instead of already sweating. And as we harvested the winter squash this week, it started to feel like maybe, just maybe, we're starting to turn the corner into fall. 🍂

We are still in the thick of it, and the abundance can be overwhelming at times! But with these first few hints of fall, we are reminded that things will slow down, the weeds will eventually stop growing, and pretty soon we will be once again begging for a fresh tomato.

So here's to the height of summer! We might be tired, but it is a joyful time to get to do this work! 🍅

There are only TWO more chances to join us for Reiki-Infused Yin Yoga at the farm this season!

We will be practicing with Charleen Predmore, Reiki Master, and Julia Ferguson, yoga instructor, of on Friday, September 18...and then one last time on Friday, October 9.

Get your tickets now, as space is limited, and these will fill up quickly!

✨ Yin yoga is great for improving circulation and flexibility, and is friendly to all levels due to the slow nature of the practice. Poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes in yin yoga to target deeper connective tissue and fascia in the body.

✨ Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation by balancing the body’s energy flow. When energy is blocked or imbalanced, it can cause physical and emotional distress. While holding the yin yoga poses, Charleen will provide hands-on or distance Reiki energy healing.

We are thrilled to welcome to AOOA again this year for an annual end-of-season celebration of community, herbs, and nourishment. This is a wonderful, thoughtfully curated event for anyone seeking connection, information, herbal supplies, and remedies. Swipe to check out the list of presenters and makers.

The ticket price ($10) includes access to all events. Products and supplies available during the herb fair are pay-what-you-can. Delicious lunch and snacks (provided by us!!) will be available for purchase.

We’re looking for a Farm Team Member to join the AOOA team! If you love working outdoors, growing food, and being part of a hands-on farm team, we’d love to hear from you.

This position runs now through late November, with the possibility of winter work for the right long-term candidate.

And coming soon: we’ll also be hiring an Assistant Farm Manager to join the growing farm team.
