Just wanted to give a shout-out to the Hometown Girard newspaper. Thank you for printing The Constitution of the United States of America and The Declaration of the U.S.
Yes...in school we learned about them, but to take time and re-read them, was definitely a poignant reminder of how articulate and intelligent our 1776 forefathers were! Kansas wasn't even on anyone's mind.
It makes you take a step back and think about how long ago, 250 years really was!

Last 4th of July I made Blackberry Cobbler with my Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. I was asked many times, "Will you be doing this next year"? So
YES! I've decided to honor my Grandma's tradition, and make it every year for all of you!
Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 27. Then next week - July 1, 2, 3, 10am to 5pm. Come on over to Girard General Store & Antiques and enjoy some Blackberry Cobbler with vanilla ice cream!
