Before I drop the menu this week, I have a question for all you Brunch on Broad lovers!

I've been cutting fruit again for the summer to offer Fruit Cups in the Grab-and-Go fridge, but no one is eating/buying them! While it's not extremely time-consuming, I just hate to have fresh leftovers in the fridge! What should I do instead that y'all would want to have:

1.) Don't add anything
2.) Overnight Oat Cups
3.) Hummus & Pita & Crudite
4.) Hard-Boiled Eggs & Cheese

Please help me in wishing the Brunch on Broad resident baker, Val, a very Happy Birthday today! We also have decided she wins the 2025 and 2026 Baker of the Year Award for the café!! Now… some people might point out that she’s currently our *only* week-to-week baker, but after careful consideration, extensive yummy research, and one very unofficial meeting with myself, I’ve determined that she’d win the title whether she was competing against zero bakers, ten bakers, or 1,000+ bakers. 😘🎉

Val delivers the exact sass, sarcasm, and wit that keeps our friendship going, and that I need every Wednesday morning at 6AM, and I’m super happy that she’s still slingin’ all your favorite pastries, muffins, cups, etc. after almost 20 months of Brunch on Broad! 🥳🎈

Everyone be sure to wish Val a Happy Birthday, and let her know your FAVORITE VCSweets dessert of all time in the comments! 🍰🧁

Grounded Coffee will be opening at 6AM tomorrow for anyone who wants a caffeine fix but needs to be at work early! AND they’re sticking with us until 2PM, so if you come by a little closer to close, you can still get coffee. ☕️ Just a reminder that inside still opens at 7AM with food. ☺️ Check out the Ground Coffee specials menu… we already know we’re going with the Maple Fusion!🍁🧂

Tomorrow’s going to be busy, I can feel it. 👐🏼 Come with a few extra minutes to spare, a little patience, and pre-order if your heart is set on something you see on our new menu! We’re already at a high number of pre-orders, so the form might close early. Best to not wait until 9:59:59. 😉

Well, this is the week! Come try one of our NEW coffee trailers for our Summer Coffee Series, Grounded Coffee! They will be posted up at the start (and for the duration of) Brunch on Broad this week at Broad & Maple. What new flavors will you get?! ☕️🫘

With that being said, you know it's another MENU DROP MONDAY, and it's a NEW month, so our JUNE menu is here! I'm running it back on the French Onion Pasta Salad because it was just too good, and not enough people got to get it. Remember to pre-order if you want it... I made extra this week! Mini meals, fruit cups, and salads, all ready to go, plus CANNOLI STUFFED FRENCH TOAST this month! Complete with crumbled cannoli shells on top. 👀🍞

VCSweets has Funfetti Cookie Sandwiches on deck, which I've already pre-ordered 10 in my head. Classic blueberry muffins, and yummy scones, with the return of Banana Pudding! 🍌🍰

Kelsey and Nicole: Brunch on Broad won't be the same without you, and we can't thank you enough for the last year and a half! We've grown and learned so much together, and I'll always be thankful for us getting our county inspections on the same fateful day! ☺️

A few updates about Brunch on Broad tomorrow!

• Unfortunately, we will *not* be having Apple Crumb Cake tomorrow. There was a problem with the way it baked, and VCSweets doesn't serve anything that's less than perfection! Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to that. If you've ordered it already, please note you may choose another dessert or be refunded/not charged. 🍎

• The French Onion Pasta Salad - quite possibly my favorite pasta salad I've ever made. I couldn't stop myself from doing lots of extra Quality Control today. Be sure to stop in to get yours! I might even sacrifice the sale and save one for myself. 😋

• Tomorrow is the last day for our Community Support Table and Smith Family Donations. We have raised a total of $830 for the family, so let's finish strong. I'll be getting gift cards for the family with the total donated. Thank you all for your support, I know the Smith Family will be thankful, and I am extremely proud of how our customers have come together for this cause. 💙

• Let's PACK Brunch on Broad for the last day of Strong Brew Coffee Co. and wish them well on their future endeavors! On June 3rd, we will welcome our first new truck of the summer, Grounded Coffee, and we just got confirmation that on June 10th, we will welcome Thoroughbred Brew! We can't wait to see where these new partnerships take us! ☕️

A very sad week at Brunch on Broad! This week marks the last week with our beloved Strong Brew Coffee Co. girlies. Brunch on Broad and Strong Brew Coffee grew up together. 😆🥹 From our very first week at Broad & Maple, through the last 18+ months, we've partnered with these girls to bring you the best coffee + cafe combo in South Jersey. Now, as "the coffee girls" aka our "caffeine peddlers" (as we've lovingly dubbed them for over a year-and-a-half) prepare to open their own brick and mortar retail spot, they're stepping back from Wednesdays, and we are bringing a bunch of new coffee trucks on the scene all summer long. Please help us in wishing Kelsey and Nicole amazing success in their next chapter! ☕️🥛

With that being said, we will begin to rotate through a few coffee trailers starting June 3rd. Our first coffee truck to post up in the lot on 6/3 will be Grounded Coffee! 🚛 Come next week to try some new stuff! This week, VCSweets is back with a delicious dessert line-up, and The Community Plate Catering has all your cafe foods ready to put Menu Drop Monday in full swing! Join us this week as we get busier and busier, and bring you more and more yummy combos to try.
