W**e snob or w**e connoisseur? 🍷 Maybe there’s a little bit of both in me. 😂
But here’s the thing—being a w**e snob doesn’t mean you have to spend $200 on a bottle. And being a w**e connoisseur isn’t about showing off what you know. It’s about being adventurous enough to taste, learn, explore different regions and grapes, and figure out what makes a w**e special.
Some of my favorite finds are the bottles that cost $30–$40 but drink like something that should cost $150–$200. That’s half the fun of w**e—finding the hidden gems.
Tonight’s adventure: 2022 Michel Sarrazin et Fils “Les Grognots” Givry Blanc 🇫🇷🍇 A Chardonnay from Burgundy made by a family whose w**egrowing history stretches back more than 350 years. Citrus, peach, pear, white flowers, subtle oak, beautiful minerality—and a whole lot more interesting than another predictable bottle of Chardonnay.
So call me a w**e snob, call me a connoisseur… just don’t call me while you’re drinking Boone’s Farm. 😂🍷
Be adventurous. Drink outside your comfort zone. Great w**e doesn’t have to cost a fortune.🥠
