We had the absolute honor of welcoming Second Lieutenant Jenkins and his lovely wife to dine with us! ❤️

During their visit, Second Lieutenant Jenkins presented a Coin of Excellence to “Sergeant Carter” — our very own Ms. Emmett — and the Ms. Emmett’s crew! 🪙🇺🇸

What an incredible honor and a special reminder that some bonds formed through service truly last a lifetime. We are so grateful for Second Lieutenant Jenkins and his wife for stopping by, sharing this moment with us, and recognizing Ms. Emmett and our hardworking crew.

Due to the extreme heat advisory, Ms. Emmett’s Soul Food will be operating on shortened hours today, Sunday, August 16th. Depending on the weather - we may close earlier than 3pm! This is for the safety of our staff! We will let everyone know immediately if the need arises.

To our wonderful customers, due to the Extreme Heat Advisory, Ms. Emmett’s Soul Food will be closing early tomorrow for the safety of our staff and customers. If we can’t stand the heat, we will have to get out the kitchen! It may be earlier than 3 PM. We will go hour by hour.  we will make another post if we close earlier than expected.
