Today we will talk about complacency.. I have been doing this for over 30 years.. scenarios like this hundreds of times.. I just assume when I heard animals on the trailer, they all went up like they normally do.. and grabed the ally gate, to close it before I looked.. good thing that Addax was so close! Otherwise it would have run 30+ inch horns through my upper torso.. getting knocked down was not that bad probably broke a couple ribs.. but the scariest thought was the rest of them coming at me that I couldn’t see.. so protecting myself until everybody got back together was a necessity.. I knew better than to walk around that panel without looking… I was 100% complacent and not thinking like I should’ve been.. anyone that works around animals whether it’s cattle, sheep, goats, or wildlife… has been put on their tail feathers more than once. It’s just part of the territory… and very humbling, especially when you know better. This is the side of the industry. Nobody wants to show you… except dingdongs like me! lol I wish I had all the crashes on video and I could make a blooper reel! 😂 everybody’s good we’ll be back at it tomorrow! NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THIS VIDEO!
