*UPDATE* The conference has decided to cancel the Saffire luncheons.

We want to be transparent about an event happening at The Factory at Franklin this week.

Several months ago, Saffire accepted a routine booking from a non-descript Gmail address for a “business luncheon.” We were not told that this booking was connected to the Fight Laugh Feast conference. We recently learned the details from a concerned neighbor, and identified several statements associated with the event’s speaker that we find deeply troubling including statements defending slavery, advocacy to repeal the 19th Amendment, and calls to criminalize the LGBTQ community. As a female owned and operated restaurant where everyone is welcome, we represent everything this group is against.

We’re frustrated that we were not given the information needed to make an informed decision before this booking was made. After discussions with our attorney, we have been told we are contractually obligated to honor this booking. That being said, we will be donating proceeds from the service to World Central Kitchen, a charity who we work closely with as Chef Corps members: “Immediately serving chef-prepared meals to communities impacted by natural disasters and during humanitarian crises.”

We love this community, and we hope you’ll continue to support the many small, local, family-run businesses here, including Saffire.

Happy Dolly Day! On 9/25 across Nashville, people are celebrating the legacy of kindness, generosity, and music of Dolly Parton.

Come enjoy the “Cup of Ambition,” available just on Dolly Day, made with gin, grapefruit, elderflower, lemon, house-made raspberry syrup, and Gold Luster dust. Ask about our mocktail version too. 😉

Celebrate Dolly any day of the year and ask to have dinner in front of our “American Music Trailblazers” painting by local legend Shiela B.
