🚨 Plot twist: The BBQ restaurant and the other local catering company DIDN’T fight to the death. 🚨

A few months ago, we got a phone call from another local catering company, Rent the Chef, with a request that honestly made us smile.

Their client was getting married and wanted BBQ… but they also wanted Rent the Chef’s incredible food. Instead of saying, “Sorry, pick one,” Chef Jason Febres said, “I know somebody.”

That somebody was us. 🐷❤️

After a quick phone call, we came up with a game plan that made everyone happy. We handled the smoked meats, Rent the Chef knocked it out of the park with their amazing sides and charcuterie, and the happy couple got exactly what they dreamed of. No drama. No ego. Just good food made by people who love what they do.

It got us thinking…

People love to act like restaurants and chefs are all out here in some kind of Food Network cage match, trying to eliminate the competition. The truth? Most of us are just trying to serve great food, take care of our employees, pay our bills, and make our customers happy.

There’s plenty of room at the table for more than one person to succeed.

Sometimes the best recipe isn’t trying to do everything yourself… it’s working alongside other talented people who bring something different to the table.

So a huge thank you to Chef Jason Febres and the entire Rent the Chef team for trusting us with your client and for making the whole process smooth from start to finish. We were honored to be part of such a special day, and even more honored to work with people who understand that community beats competition every single time.

Congratulations to the happy Wichita couple! We hope your marriage is as successful as that menu was. 😉❤️
