June is packed!!!

Between Pride, Street Fairs, private events, fundraisers, and a few things we still have trickling in, this is shaping up to be one of our busiest months since we started.

A year ago we were getting ready for Taste of Fort Collins, and now we’re looking at a calendar so full and we keep adding more things to it.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who’s supported us, hired us, shared our posts, and helped us grow. We don’t take any of it for granted.

This weekend marked our official one-year anniversary since our grand debut at Taste of Fort Collins, and I wanted to share something a little vulnerable with you all.

After most events, I usually leave feeling a little emotional and overwhelmed with gratitude. But this weekend, driving home from Pride, I completely lost it and cried the entire way home.

Part of it was complete disbelief. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that it’s already been a year since our first real event. A year of super early mornings, really late nights, many lessons learned, risks taken, and our dream quickly turned into reality. And just like our very first event, we sold completely out this weekend. We keep bringing more and more aguas to each event, and almost every event we walk away with empty barrels.

But the bigger reason was Pride itself.

Pride felt especially meaningful this year because it wasn’t just any other event, it felt like a celebration of how far we’ve come. As someone who spent parts of my life fighting to feel like I belonged, there were times when I genuinely wondered if there was a place for me in this world exactly as I am.

And yet, from day one, you all have shown Rafael and me nothing but love, support, encouragement, and kindness.

You reminded us that we have always had a place where we belonged. We just needed to find our people.

And you all are our people.

Standing in the park this weekend, surrounded by so much joy, acceptance, and community, I couldn’t help but think about the younger version of myself that never could have imagined a moment like this. A moment where I could build something that celebrates who we are and our culture, community, and love, alongside the person I love, and have so many people show up to support it.

That realization alone hit me harder than I was expecting.

So as we celebrate one year of FoCo AF, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for every purchase, every share, every shoutout, every recommendation, every event invitation, and every moment you’ve spent supporting us. Thank you to our incredible team of friends and family that really are the reason we have been able to do this. Without them, we wouldn’t have even made it past the first day. And a huge thank you to our community for embracing us from the very beginning.

You have been part of this journey every step of the way, and we truly wouldn’t be here without you.

We are so proud of what we’ve built together, and even more excited for what’s still to come.

What a paw-some day! 🐾🤍

We had so much fun at the Fire Hydrant 5K this weekend supporting NOCO Humane and loved being able to be there to help everyone cool down after crossing the finish line. There’s nothing better than seeing people, and all the pups, enjoying a refreshing treat after a morning of running, walking, and supporting such an incredible cause.

To be honest, we still don’t fully understand why anyone would voluntarily wake up at 4:00 AM to go run several miles, but we’re very grateful you do because it gave us an excuse to serve aguas frescas all morning and its for such an amazing cause. 😂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our event-exclusive flavor, Agua de Sandía Para Patitas 🍉🐶, was a huge hit! We made it special just for our four-legged friends and it was the perfect way to keep all the tails waggin!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, let us say hi to all your pups, and supported both local small businesses and the amazing work NOCO Humane does for animals in our community. The energy was incredible, the dogs were adorable, and we loved being part of such a fun event!

Please remember to stay hydrated this summer, give your pups an extra belly rub for us, and hopefully you and your pups got to sleep in a bit today! 🤍🐾

We’re so excited to officially share that FoCo AF will be at this years FoCo Pride celebration on June 6th from 11AM–6PM at Library Park 🌈

As a proudly gay and Latino-owned small business, this event means so much to us. Pride has always been about community, joy, authenticity, and showing up to support each other, and it feels even more vital to show up for each maybe now more than ever.

So mark your calendars and celebrate love, culture, and community with us. We’ll be serving up fresh agua frescas with extra lime, extra tajín, and extra fruity energy all day long! We’re incredibly honored to participate in Pride this year and can’t wait to see everyone there! 🌺🏳️‍🌈

We had a blast last weekend at Growing Together with La Familia / The Family Center 💛

We had such an amazing time being part of this special open house fundraiser and getting to connect with so many incredible people in our community. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped support such meaningful work.

We were especially honored to donate 30% of our sales from the event back to La Familia / The Family Center to help support the vital services they provide for children and families in our community. Organizations like theirs truly make a difference every single day, and we’re grateful we could play a small part in supporting their mission.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, mom friends, tias, abuelas, bonus moms, and every motherly figure carrying love, strength, and care into this world every single day. 💛

One of our favorite things at events is watching moms bring their kids up to the stand and gently teach them how to order aguas frescas, how to pronounce the flavors in Spanish, how to say please and thank you, and even how to leave a tip with kindness and gratitude. Those little moments mean so much to us. It’s culture, love, patience, and community all being passed down, and it’s happening right there in those short but special moments.

Moms truly carry the world in ways that often go unseen, and we are endlessly grateful for every one of you.

And a very special shoutout to our own moms, who show up for us at events, support us behind the scenes, believe in us endlessly, and remind us what unconditional love looks like. We couldn’t do this without you!

Today can also be a complicated day for many. We want to hold space for those missing their moms, those grieving a child, those longing to become mothers, and anyone carrying quiet heartbreak today. We see you too, and we’re sending you extra love.
