Small-batch coffee, roasted in Virginia
Online + wholesale We are a coffee shop and small batch roaster in Forest, VA.

We put our focus on coffee above all else and this applies to our sourcing, roasting, and each beverage we serve. We also put a high priority of the quality of our teas and other non-coffee beverages. Our goal is to provide high quality, ethically sourced coffee that is roasted to show it's full potential. Our staff is full of coffee nerds and are ready to bring you into the scene of specialty coffee or just chat about our passion for coffee.

Coffee brewing all morning.

We keep a rotating selection on pour over alongside the batch brew, so there’s usually something different on the bar if you want to try a coffee you haven’t had before.

Come by, grab a cup, and see what we’re brewing today.

We treat each coffee differently depending on what we want out of it. We're not chasing a number on a curve or trying to make everything taste the same. One coffee needs more dev and body, another needs clarity and acidity. A medium or darker single origin shows up now and then, but most of what we roast is light, washed process, and built on clarity and sweetness.

There are a lot of ways to make coffee unnecessarily complicated. We’re trying to do the opposite.

The shelf right now is a mix of coffees we actually want to drink and roast: clean washed coffees, a few fruit-forward naturals, familiar blends, and some more developed options that are done intentionally.

Different coffees for different people, without pretending every coffee has to be the next big experimental new process in specialty.

Not every natural coffee needs to taste super fermented.

Ardi is a natural coffee from Sidama, Ethiopia with the fruit you want from natty’s with berry and plum but still enough clarity to taste like coffee.

It’s the kind of natural we like to put on the shelf: sweet, expressive, easy to drink, and without some hyped processing method you need to pretend to understand (or worse, pretend to enjoy).

Two Kenyans, natural and honey processes from Costa Rica Las Torres, and a washed Geisha from Peru.

I released these coffees to celebrate opening our doors 10 years ago.

When I was thinking about how to celebrate this year, especially with the change from a full cafe to a roastery, I decided to release 10 coffees throughout the summer. Each has either been special to us as a company or simply stood out as a coffee worth celebrating with.

I hope you enjoy these as much as we have. Grab a bag on the shelf or online, and Peru Wilder Garcia Geisha is on drip all week with free refills.

This Friday is the big day: free Geisha drip, 20% off coffee bags, and a prize wheel with giveaways and prizes.

We have a community gift card! If you’d be blessed by a free drink or pastry, just let us know and we’ll hook you up. And if you’d like to contribute to it for someone else, you can do that too.

Free drip coffee every Friday, free refills on drip every day.
