Last Monday - Friends and Family said good bye to a special person, James Lewis. For those who couldn’t attend I share the following:
Our family, TravisnBelinda Gray, Phyllis Pitts , Jackie Lewis, Doyle and Leslie Perkins, want to thank you all for the many calls, text, emails, cards, meals, flowers, prayers and support during the loss of my Dad , James Lewis.
We tried to make the service about him. It is very difficult to condense 88+ years into a few paragraphs. As we stood in line greeting , family , his class mates, those he built houses with, those who road on many trail rides with him, we realized he didn’t just belong to us. His charismatic personality put him in the lives of many along the way and he was big enough to share.
God has been faithful to us and allowed his suffering to be minimal and allowed us to be there in his final days and hours. Thank you doesn’t seem adequate but we pray that God will bless you many times over for all the acts of kindness you have shown.
