If you can dream it, Vicki Gentz can probably bake it 💖 She’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet AND she makes the most adorable AND delicious cookies in Madison (it’s rare you get both).

Vicki started baking for fun in 2008. When a Wisconsin District Court in Lafayette County struck down the state’s ban on selling home-baked goods in 2017, she started a part-time business, “Vicki Cookies.”

By the end of 2019, she was essentially working two full-time jobs, so she quit her 9-5 and dove head-first into her passion project!

“You know they say, when you do something you love, you don’t work at all,” Vicki told the Fitchburg Star. “But it’s more like, when you do something you love, you work all the time!”

“You definitely have to love it,” she added. “You’re not going to be a millionaire making decorated cookies. But it’s a passion.”

Vicki’s signature cookie is a vanilla sugar, but she also makes other fun flavors, too, like chocolate, strawberry, and drop cookies that change with the seasons!

She also uses royal-icing, which dries hard so that cookies can be stacked and bagged, without sticking together 👍🏾
