This may help somebody today.🔥
One thing I’ve learned is that when people get hurt in church, they don’t just leave a church, they start pulling away from people.
I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it.
When you’ve been hurt by a pastor, a leader, or people you trusted, it’s easy to get to a place where you think, “I’m done. I don’t need church. I don’t need people. I’ll just do this on my own.”
But that’s exactly where the enemy wants you.
The reality is, God didn’t hurt you. People hurt you.
And if we’re not careful, the pain from what people did can cause us to start blaming God for something He never did.
The enemy will tell you that isolation is safer. That you’ll be fine by yourself. But that’s not how God designed us to live.
We need the body of Christ. We need healthy relationships. We need people who will encourage us, pray for us, and help us keep moving forward.
Yes, there are unhealthy churches. I’ve experienced that myself. But there are also healthy churches filled with people who genuinely love God and genuinely care about people.
Don’t let a bad experience with people keep you from what God still wants to do in your life.
