Hellion Hill Farm

09/11/2026

The Hellions were a huge help moving the rest of the growouts from the basement to the outdoor pen yesterday.

The big one talked me into letting a very protective broody momma keep some eggs to try to hatch. (I think it is just because he is tired of being pecked while collecting eggs 😂.)

I taught the little one how to make shadow puppets during our late night chicken tending.

From the dark Maran, to the blue/green of the Araucanas, the white speckles on the pink Wyandotte, the stark white Leghorn, and the splotchy Barred Rock I couldn't pick just 1 😍!

Storm rolled in and gave me the perfect lighting for these beauties 😍! Missing a white, a green, and a pink & white speckled that were all dirty and may or may not have been dropped 🙄...
