Lately I’ve been trying to wrap my head around just how busy we’ve been. And while “busy” is such a blessing for a small business… it also comes with a very real physical and mental toll. Long days, late nights, nonstop prep, constant problem solving, and somehow still showing up with a smile. (some mornings after coffee)
I truly could not do any of this without my team. They are the heartbeat behind everything we do and I’m endlessly grateful for every single one of them. Through the chaos, the heat, the exhaustion, and the pressure — they continue to show up and absolutely crush it.
Over the last few weeks we’ve cranked out more lunches, weddings, receptions, networking events, heat-and-eat meals, café items, and catering orders than I can honestly even keep track of. And with this heatwave? The kitchen has felt brutal some days. But we keep going because we care deeply about what we do and the people we serve.
I’m also so excited to welcome TWO new team members to the crew. Watching this little business grow and being able to build a stronger team has been such a surreal feeling. They’re going to help operations run smoother and help elevate our OG café crew that has been carrying so much.
And somehow… we are officially fully booked until June. Typing that out honestly feels wild. I never imagined we’d be here, and I don’t take a single bit of it for granted.
This second quarter has been incredible, emotional, exhausting, exciting — all of it. But most importantly, it’s been full of support from this community. You all continue to show up for us in ways I’ll never be able to fully explain. Every order, every share, every kind word, every recommendation… it matters.
