We are wet and soggy but the food will be fresh and hot!
Today in Rodeoland: the Buckin Good Boys and Girl are out there doing their thing! Rodeo is not for the faint of heart. Hilary was entered in Mason, Texas Saturday night, when it became a torrential flood for about 3 hours. Though the rain was welcomed, it created a mess in the pen. The committee went above and beyond to make the arena safe, but knowing the conditions were not favorable for a win and driving 4 hours with gases prices high, she made the TOUGH decision to draw out and take care of her horses well being. Kudos to her!
Jace, Rylan and Cimarron are placing.
Rylan has moved up in the standings, from when he had his surgery and was off for a few weeks. He is sitting 5 th for the the year in the UPRA and 3rd for the year in the CPRA. If you tune in to Cheyenne , WY, on July 21 & 22, you can see him ride in the Rookie saddle bronc competition.
Rodeos this week are Marble Falls, Texas and Taylor,Texas.
If you have never been to Marble Falls, you need to go! The patriotism, the aircraft fly over, the Cadillac stock , are all something to experience and it is a rodeo you DO NOT want to miss. Slack starts on Thursday and performances. Friday and Saturday night. See ya there!
BuckinGoodBits: Do you know why it is so important who you hang around? They teach that you are a product of the 5 closest people you are always around. You take on their work ethic, morals, vocabulary, beliefs in how you honor Jesus. It’s not a myth, it’s been studied. This is why it’s important who you choose to spend your time with, in marriage, in employment, in social settings. Make sure they are encouraging you and believing in you and that you are doing the same. It makes a BIG difference!
Till next time, Keep Believing people are mostly good. Be thankful for all you have, and BE KIND.
