I just wanted to take a moment and say Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Russell Han, the architect of the Shack Restaurant. And Happy Father’s Day to all the other dads out there. On this special day, it makes my heart skip a beat or two and I even get a little teary eyed throughout the day. As some of you know, this is my favorite holiday because I used to get to celebrate my old man, best friend, father, and business partner. But 15 years ago he passed away way too early. While I continue to strive forward helping to continue his dream at the Shack. I also try and be a good father to my two unbelievable, incredible and just down right awesome boys, Austin and Connor. The bar was set high but I am trying. I hope one day they are as proud of me and honored to say that I was their dad as I love to brag about you being mine. While I have so many people to thank because of their efforts in helping The Shack be successful, I do have to start by saying thank you to the community. In the beginning it took a little time from when my dad first unlocked doors, but once you all tried us, you started coming back more and more. Some customers still do to this day 36 years and 337 days later since we first started. (But who is counting). Thank you to the staff, you are all amazing working so hard year round and especially today when we all get to celebrate our Dad’s. To my wife, Stephanie, there aren’t words in my poor vocabulary good enough to describe what you mean to me. Besides being a loving and supportive wife, you are the reason to this day Father’s Day is still my favorite holiday. So to try and keep it short, please stop on by and enjoy some breakfast with your dad today or any day, he will love it. If you do, and I don’t get a chance to say hi today, let me say it now- Hi, Welcome, Thank you, and Happy Father’s Day to you and especially my Dad, Russ.. I hope you are proud of me in all aspects of live.
I love and miss you man
