Who would have thought, (during a pandemic I might add), this would be a great opportunity to open a restaurant.

The Lotharp family did, that's who.

Our family, Annette, Derrick Sr., Derrick Jr., and Kira truly stepped out on faith and opened not only a pizzeria but also a gaming lounge, Outer Rim: The Experience, inside of the Durfee Innovation Society (DIS).

Toarmina's Pizza offered us an opportunity not only to be entrepreneurs again, but also hire and mentor over 25 high school students from Central High School and Central Detroit Christian, teaching them everything from entrepreneurship, job skills, and customer service.

Also with the support of Methodist Children Home Society, we worked with some absolutely fabulous Legacy Leaders who were also integral in the mentoring of the high school students and a loyal workforce..

In two years, Toarmina's served thousands of customers from the community and Metro Detroit, as well as the wonderful tenants at the DIS. Your support meant the world to us.

What an honor it has been to see all of the smiling faces. From catering orders large and small, creating special customized orders (secret menu items....shh), we truly enjoyed serving you all.

October 31st will be Toarmina's Pizza Durfee's last day at the DIS. We will miss all of you.

Effective July 13th, Toarmina's Pizza Durfee's new hours are Monday through Friday 11a-7p, closed Saturday (open for special events only)

Toarmina's Pizza Durfee is closed today due to a staffing issue.

We will reopen Monday, March 21st.

Toarmina's will also be closed Tuesday, March 22 through Friday, March 25th. We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, March 26.
