Support local business and resident. We all need a little hand every now and then.

🚨IMPORTANT POST ALERT!🚨

Hi folks, Sierra here, and I'm reaching out with a big ask...

Many of you know that over the years of G&G being downtown, we've come to know and build relationships with many of the unhoused folks in Ephrata. And thanks to all of YOU, we're able to offer our "Pay It Forward" board (another opportunity to build connection with the community).

It has recently been brought to my attention that one of our friends is struggling and could use the extra love and support right now. To protect their identity, we'll call this person "M!" About a month ago, M was discovered living out of their car in an Ephrata parking lot after losing a good job due to health issues. And just last week, after making a trip to the hospital, M found out that they were diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.

This is hard on anyone, but especially hard for someone with no income, no stability, no support system. And it feels too important to not do anything, so...

This Saturday, June 27th, from 7am to 2pm, we'll be hosting a fundraiser at G&G to help provide some stability and hope for M. And that's where you come in, Ephrata! We'll take a portion of proceeds from the day to go towards M's car insurance & inspection, a cell phone bill, and any other medical expenses that may occur in the future. All you gotta do is visit us and enjoy a good coffee and tasty crepes!

Maybe the goal is to provide some financial stability for M, or maybe it's to remind them that they are loved and supported. But either way, I know that this community cares deeply and holds great power.

Let's do this! 🤘
