Hey yall!

First of, I just want to say, last week was WOW! Yall came out and showed out and I just wanted to say thank u from the bottom of my heart. I spoke to so many amazing people and Yall are all truly amazing. Yall really put me to work last week too 🤣 but I absolutely wouldn’t change a single thing! This is what I was meant to do! And I wouldn’t be able to do it without everyone’s support 🤍

I had a lot of questions last week trying to get back and used to selling out of my home exclusively so here is the calendar for this week to get an idea on how pickups and things work! Also, you’ll be noticing a special little extra added onto the menu this week ☺️ Something you’ve all been begging me for, and it’s actually bigger and better than the posted picture! I need to update its headshots asap 😅

I also have a few new exciting things up my sleeve for this week so stay tuned! But for now, happy Monday! The website is open!

✨Preorder Updates✨

⌛️To get an accurate count of each flavor, preorders for Thursday afternoon (after 5pm) pickup will close tonight at 10pm!

🩵No worries, it’ll still stay open until tomorrow night at 10pm for Friday morning (after 10am) pickup.

The preorders for this weeks Petty Pastry buy 3 get 1 free sale will close for the week THURSDAY NIGHT at 8pm! So please get those orders in before then for pickup 7/11-7/12 and to qualify for the sale.

🩶I’ll post any extras on my website on Saturday! Preorders for after this week will remain open just minus the sale.

Thursday: 5pm-10pm
Friday-Sunday: 10am-10pm
All orders will be placed in my pickup fridge in my garage 🤍

I heard y’all were missing me? ✨
First, I just want to say thank YOU.
I never expected so many messages asking where the pastries went, checking on me, and telling me how sad y’all were to see Simply Grai disappear. It reminded me that this business is so much bigger than desserts. It’s the community we’ve built together. And I am oh so appreciative of each and every one of u.

Now for the update…
No, I’m not fully back in my stores… yet. BUT if anyone thought I was going to be knocked out that easily, they seriously underestimated me.
The past few weeks have shown me that not everyone plays fair. Sometimes people will spend more time trying to block someone else’s blessings than building their own. However, I choose to look at the positive things this has brought my way. I’ve been cleared to come back since last Monday, but I took this as a sign to take a well deserved break and spend the week with my kids and my family. And I definitely needed that. So I took the week off, and now I’m ready to get back moving!

So here’s the plan:
For now, Pretty Pastries and cakes will be available by porch pickup ONLY while I continue working toward getting everything back where it belongs. This is just a detour, not where I’m meant to land. And if u thought I’d come back without something planned for yall, you’d be WRONG!

In honor of the “Petty Bettys” that made all of this happen, this week’s menu is officially called: Petty Pastries Week. 💅🏻
Yes ma’am that’s correct, we’re going to be Petty with the Pretty this week! And we can’t have a special week without a sale right?! So for this week only (7/6-7/12) all Petty Pastries will be BUY 3 GET 1 FOR THE FREEEEE! That’s basically like $9 each for 4🫪 And YES u deserve it 😉 Play with your mama or the Health department, but not me, I don’t make the rules.

In all seriousness, thank u to every single person who stood beside me instead of listening to the noise. Every message, every order, every share, and every word of encouragement reminded me exactly why I refuse to quit.

As my baking journey has come to an abrupt halt, I just wanting to say thank u to each and every one for the overwhelming support I have received this past week.
I’ve read every comment, almost every message, and I truly appreciate it beyond words. I am so appreciative of my community.

A lot of people have reached out asking how they can help, and this is one favor I have from anyone who sees this: go show my vendors some love. Even if my pastries are not there, they all have supported my passion from day 1 and deserve everything in return. Each and every one of these businesses is what it means to be a true small business. Best part is, they’re a little bit of everything, so u can definitely find something that fits your interest!

So again, thank yall for everything! My Bakesy site is now empty of pastries for now, I apologize. I’m also taking a social media break for a bit. I’ll be back before we know it 🤍

Hey yall! This will be a long post, so please stick around and take a second to read

I usually like to keep my business completely separate from any drama or personal issues I have going on, because that is not my clientele’s burden to bare, but this is extremely necessary at this time.

If any of u have seen the post on my personal page and what I have been dealing with the past few months, then you’re pretty caught up, but if not, I’ve been having a candy store owner (previous vendor of mine) and her friends and family, plus now here recently, a boutique owner (tried to steal my “Pretty Pastry” name) try and do everything in their power to shut me up and put me out of doing what I love. It has been constant nonsense, constant battles, and constant sleepless nights.

After they have reported me to the health department and a TikTok video of the pastry vendor in this shop’s daughter making a fake review bashing my Pretty Pastries and calling them “ghetto-y and nasty” coming to my attention, this is my last straw. I have worked too hard to build what I have built to let it be torn down by hateful, vindictive people. But, at this time, my hands are tied right now.

So here is where yall are involved. I have had to pull my pastries out of my amazing stores for the time being. What I have listed below is the stock I have pulled and that is ready for pickup if anyone would like to grab some. I won’t be making as big of numbers anymore since I no longer have those outlets to sell. To clarify, this has nothing to do with any unsafe sanitary practices, but under Louisiana law, a cottage baker cannot sell wholesale to stores. I hate to see my Cassandi’s fridge so empty, but it’s what is needed at this time.

Now this is NOT a goodbye nor a surrender. I will STILL be making my Pretty Pastries, and I have so many great ideas ready to go for yall coming soon. This is just simply an obstacle in my path that evil has put in my way to overcome, and that I will. I appreciate EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU that has supported me in this journey so far! And I have my last playing card up my sleeve that I will make public in due time.
