🌟 Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 19th Annual DeKalb Kite Fest! 🎉 Your energy and excitement made the day unforgettable! We loved seeing so many families and friends enjoying the beautiful skies filled with spectacular kites! 🪁💨

A special shoutout to our amazing kite pilots – Al Sparling, Darryl Waters, Anthony Catalano, Team Sky FX, Edmond Dragot, and Team Chicago Kite – who truly brought the magic to life! 🙌✨

We also want to thank all the wonderful organizations that helped make this event so special. From interactive booths to fun activities like kite crafting, face painting, and live music, there was something for everyone! 🎨🎶

Just be sure to steer clear of the professional and public kite flying areas. We can't wait to see you and your four-legged family members at Kite Fest on Sunday, September 8! 🎉🪁

🎉 Get ready for a sweet treat at the 19th Annual DeKalb Kite Fest on September 8! 🍬 The popular Candy Drop is back, thanks to the generous donation from Ferrara Candy Company! Watch as candy is hoisted high in the sky and then rains down for kids to dash and grab all the delicious morsels!

If the weather doesn't cooperate for the Candy Drop, don't worry—our skilled kite pilots will use the Candy Cannon to ensure the fun goes on! The Candy Drop timing is TBD based on weather/wind conditions, so stay tuned for updates. See you there for this sugary spectacle this Sunday! 🍭✨

🎈 The 19th Annual DeKalb Kite Fest on September 8 is packed with FREE family-friendly activities that everyone will love! Visitors can look forward to classic Kite Fest traditions like giant inflatable kites, and dancing kites high in the sky. Plus, enjoy seasonal on-site activities, including a windsock craft with park district staff, biodegradable nature kites, and an origami project with Kish Kids Outside. 🎨🪁

All activities will be near the Kiwanis Park Shelter, with free parking at Kiwanis and the Sports and Recreation Center at 1765 South 4th Street. Bring the whole family for a day of fun from 11 am -3:30 pm! 🌟
