Meet Jarrod! With his classic pose, he’s famous for giving a thumbs up in photos 👍
He’s the one who preps, cleans, and creates. He keeps Meadowlark running smoothly and brings us joy by turning song lyrics into something hilariously absurd. Plus, he’s our champion when it comes to hunting down oversized items. If it’s big, he’s flaunting it like an Olympic medalist. "Hey everyone, check out this STRAWBERRY?! And look at this SALMON!"

Today is all about him. If you see him, make sure to wish him a happy birthday. If you can’t, drop some love for him here.

The art of the jiggle, by Claudia.

Panna cotta literally means “cooked cream” in Italian. It started in Piedmont as a simple way to use up fresh cream. Gently heated, barely set, and served cold. No baking. No fuss. Just patience.

Ours is infused with Earl Grey tea for soft bergamot notes, then finished with floral lavender syrup and crisp lavender meringues.

It’s quiet. It’s creamy. It wobbles like it means it.

~Fried Green Tomatoes with Chow-Chow~
Sliced, coated in breadcrumbs and fried till crisp and golden brown, green tomatoes soften and sweeten with cooking and are many people’s favorite treat. The hot tomatoes are dolloped with a lively remoulade and served with homemade chow-chow, a chopped, mustardy relish full of cabbage, peppers, onions, and chopped green tomato that goes with every fried thing in the world.

~Ricotta Tacos~
A mixture of ricotta and goat cheese with green chiles and capers is rolled in fresh corn tortillas, crisped on the griddle and sauced with tomatoes cooked down with butter, white wine and fresh serrano chiles. Served on dressed cabbage and radishes as a fresh, crunchy counterpoint along with lemon-scallion rice and creamy, smoky pinto beans.

When a vegetarian says we’re “one of my very favorite places”… we don’t take that lightly.

SOFT SHELL CRABS ARE BACK 🦀
TONIGHT + SATURDAY

You crushed them last week. We’ve got another round of beauties back in house at the Meadowlark.

‼️Dinner only‼️ 4pm–close.

We’re hoping to get a lunch sandwich in the mix soon, but for now this weekend is your shot.

It’s gray outside, but in here? Hot oil, golden garlic, and the smell of comfort.

We fry garlic in house. It gives us two things~
1. Crispy garlic bits🧄 we sprinkle them here and there when a dish needs a little soul.
2. Garlic oil 🧄 liquid gold we save just for our garlic frites.

Those frites get tossed in the garlic oil, seasoned with Fry Spice, showered with Parmesan Reggiano, and served with house-made caper mayo on the side.
