Published by Kristen Llewellyn on August 4th, 2018
You've been working in your current job for many years and were comfortable until now. Or you’ve been there for a few years and want something new. You want to move on or maybe you just want to see if you would receive a job offer. However the last time you prepared for a job was for your current position. In either circumstance, you have to get back out there. In addition to updating your resume, you have to prepare for an interview.
Preparation for an interview begins even before you apply for the position that you want. You should research on the company and its background. Learn the culture of the company and determine if the culture fits you. Visit the company website and if they have a social media page, take a look at that too. Make sure that your skills and training lineup with the position you are applying for. These steps will help you be prepared to ask questions and to answer questions that the interviewer may ask you. Once you get the interview, make sure you are aware of the type of interview. For example, if it is a phone interview or one on one.
