There’s a new udon shop in town! We opted to try Marugame Udon for dinner and were pleasantly surprised.

I do think it was a bit overpriced ($6.25 for half a feels like highway robbery...especially since it was a slice of fried spam with pickles and Kraft cheese), but overall the flavors were good.

The teriyaki chicken udon sauce was way too sugared, and I would have preferred a soup consistency — but that’s entirely preference. I’d definitely go back for the fried chicken sando 🤩

Not a bad dinner experience! Would recommend you try this new spot 😁

Getting back into a good rhythm 😉
Maybe when Maximo is a little older I can sit him up in the kitchen while I cook and chat with him. 😆

I’m convinced parents invented “brunch” because no new parent can get anywhere on time. 😰 This is my “breakfast” at 12pm. A breakfast I made in my own house and was still late to the table. 😅😂

I’ve been big on making sure I eat at least two good meals a day, with snacks interspersed, because feeding myself means I can feed the kiddo. It’s a daily struggle though and certainly one I don’t think I could have actually mentally prepared myself for either.

If you’re struggling with balancing your basic needs so those of your newborn, I believe it’s safe to say that we all are struggling. It’s completely ok to admit that you’re lacking sleep, haven’t showered, and have a ton of questions regarding this new family addition. Reach out to a friend or parents’ network if you need to chat about what’s going on. If you’re like me, taking a daily walk (until the OBGyn clears me to start running in a few weeks) is just the ticket to re-centering your mind and spirit. Getting out of the house for an hour, taking the kiddo out for some fresh air, is wonderful!

Cheers to many more (late) brunches and sneaking in extra snuggles with the little one. 👶🏻

Sitting for one bar exam is daunting. Having to work, deal with family issues, and sit through more than one bar exam is beyond brutal. In fact, this entire experience should be added to Dante's rings. I sat for the Texas Bar exam 3 times and, before you read any further, let me be very clear: this is my own experience....

As many states have released scores, I want to remind everyone to be kind and considerate of those friends who busted ass to study during this ridiculous year and fell short of their goal. Reach out, say something, just BE there.

Failing the Bar exam is just as terrible as everyone made it sound. So, if you’re not a member of the crowd, this post is definitely for you.

1. You Feel Unequivocally Alone. The short version? You failed the Bar and are now living on the tiniest one-person island. Drifting aimlessly, helplessly, in a sliver of existence you never knew you'd be trapped within. And it sucks so damn much. The long version: People suck. You failed the Bar and now, suddenly, many of the people who were cheering you on and trying to encourage you through the long wait before the pass-list posted are now nowhere to be found.
