🌲 What if your family’s greatest inheritance isn’t money… it’s the land they fought to keep?

Last year, my cousin took me back to Navarro County and shared the story I wish every generation in our family had heard sooner.

My great-great-grandfather owned more than 100 acres. My ancestors didn’t just own land—they built a community. Homes. Businesses. A place where Black families could live, work, and thrive safely during a time when that wasn’t guaranteed.

Today, many of those buildings are gone.

But the land’s story doesn’t have to disappear with them.

As I build Tiny Renaissance Homes and create new communities with my family, it feels like life has come full circle. I’m not just building tiny homes—I’m continuing a legacy that began generations before me.

It also makes me wonder…

How many families are sitting on inherited land with no plan?

How many acres have been lost because taxes weren’t paid, no one knew the history, or selling felt easier than preserving what generations sacrificed to build?

🚨 My Instacart cart just convinced me to plant a garden.

I refuse to overpay anymore.

The exact same grocery order that cost me $148 a few months ago rang up at $597… PLUS a $20 app service fee.

Wait… aren’t corporations using AI to become more efficient while laying off workers? Why are we paying more?

No thank you. I’ll be cooking what’s already in my pantry.

This is exactly why my tiny home in the country isn’t just a dream anymore—it’s my strategy.

Park Model Home Tour in East Texas: Rustic Retreat & Compost Toilet Installation

In part two, I give a tour of my rustic park model home in East Texas, describing it as a more masculine, country-style home from RRC Athens Recreational Resort Cottages .

I love these homes and will show you the surrounding wooded area, plans for a fence for seclusion and a future glamping resort with four units coming late this summer.

Today I am installing a compost toilet and more storage items to get ready for short term rentals and retreats in the fall.
