Feeling so blessed everyday, but especially when I think about how quickly PawPrintz has grown and continues to grow…so I wanted to share. If you have the time I’d love to tell you a bit about the who, the how, and the why all of this came to be…
The Story Behind PawPrintz
PawPrintz didn’t begin with a business plan.
It began with a calling, a still, small but steady voice opening door after door.
I am a product of Tallapoosa County Schools, a teacher’s daughter, and an educator myself. Public education has been woven into nearly every part of my life. It has shaped me, given me opportunities, introduced me to people who have changed my life, gave me my amazing husband and therefore my precious children, lifelong friends, and ultimately became part of my own purpose.
So when PawPrintz began to take shape, I knew it had to be about more than simply making and selling products.
It had to be intentional, curated for MORE.
I’ve always loved creating. Designing & creativity has been some of the gifts God has given me, but for a long time, I doubted whether I could really turn those gifts into something more. I questioned myself. I questioned whether I was capable. I wondered if people would actually believe in what I was creating.
And then, little by little, order by order, opportunity after opportunity—God showed up & showed out.
He opened doors I never expected. He placed people in my path who encouraged me & guided me when I needed it most. He provided opportunities at exactly the right time. When I continued to doubt myself, He continued to remind me that I didn’t have to figure it all out on my own.
PawPrintz came to life through the encouragement, love, and support of my personal family, friends, & my DES family. They have believed in me, cheered me on, helped me take those scary first steps, and supported PawPrintz every step of the way—pun absolutely intended. 🐾
And that support means more to me than I can put into words.
Because PawPrintz is personal.
Every design is created with intention. Every order is handled with care. Every customer is someone I am genuinely grateful to have the opportunity to serve. The hard work and heart that go into each piece are there because this business is part of my testimony.
I believe God has given me these gifts and opportunities for a reason, and I want every part of PawPrintz to point back to Him. Every connection. Every design. Every order. Every opportunity to create something meaningful.
All for His glory.
And because my life—and my livelihood—have been invested in public education for most of my life, there is another piece of PawPrintz that is especially important to me and is at the heart of it’s purpose:
giving back to the places that built me and the communities that continue to build, educate, and serve our students.
My hope is that PawPrintz can become more than a small business. I want it to be a way to support the schools, educators, organizations, communities, and people who pour so much of themselves into our children.
When you shop with PawPrintz, you are absolutely supporting my small business…
But you’re also helping me pour back into the communities that poured into me—and already! Currently, I have been able to sponsor several programs and organizations with fundraisers that give them nearly 40% back—on top of donations from my sales. He gave me more, so I’m doing MORE & pray that I’m able to continue this endeavor with YOU.
You’re supporting a dream that was built on faith, family, education, and a whole lot of hard work.
And though you’re shopping small, you are making an impact in a BIG way.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for every order, every share, every kind word, every recommendation, and every person who has ever said, “Joie, it’s about time!” Or “You got this!” Or “I always knew God had big plans for you.”
PawPrintz may have my name behind it, but it was never built by me alone.
It was built by the people who believed in me when I was still learning to believe in myself (and still am!)
And above all, it was built by a God who kept showing up and reminding me:
“I gave you the gifts. Now trust Me with what you do with them. It’s all for MY GLORY.”
And so, here we are.
