I just met Olympia Auset at an LA Food Policy "Food Entrepreneur" mixer, and heard her speak about her new grocery store POPUP, popping up around town in LA, in West Adams, Crenshaw, Leimert Park and elsewhere, and just learned of her winning "The Shine" award, and what she did with it! Take a second and get inspired, and maybe do likewise!!

Last week I attended an awesome event called " The Shine " and was blown away by the community c...

Haven't been on in awhile, but can't help but promote this very important and celebratory fundraiser for my friend, Naomi Starkman's, Civil Eats. If you live in the bay area, or are there visiting during the Thanksgiving holiday, and are free 11/29, I wouldn't miss it! And if you are unable to attend, might you consider sending in a donation to support the vital work that Civil Eats is doing in covering, uncovering and informing on the food issues of our time? Hope to see you there!!

Join us in San Francisco on Tuesday, November 29, as we host our first-ever in-person benefit.
