Another Knox Asian Festival in the books! ❤️

It was such a great honor to be part of one of Knoxville’s biggest events of the year. We had to prepare everything in less than a week to fit it into our crazy schedule, but we did it again! 💪🏻

I truly love being part of this festival because it gives me the opportunity to represent my culture and food, share our heritage, and connect with people who appreciate diverse cultures and have a genuine love for Asian culture.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about the money (although, of course, that part is great too! 😂). It’s about community, connection, and the love we have for our heritage. ❤️

Thank you, Knox Asian Festival, for having us and for putting together such an amazing event. A huge thank you to my umma for helping me prep everything. And thank you to Christy for being willing to jump in and help out—and for bearing with me in that extreme heat! 🥵😂 You’re a trooper!

It was also so wonderful to see our returning customers, fellow vendors, and all the amazing people who came out to support the Asian community.

Until next time! 🇰🇷❤️

It was an absolute honor to speak in front of so many business owners and accomplished professionals in our community.

We had the opportunity to share how our journey began, where Ajumom is today, and our vision for the future.

Thank you to the Crossville Rotary Club for inviting us. Surprisingly, I wasn’t nervous at all! Public speaking used to be one of my biggest fears, but this kimchi journey has helped me grow in so many ways—not just as an entrepreneur, but as a speaker as well.

I’m truly grateful for every opportunity to share our story, our passion for Korean food, and a piece of Korean culture with the community. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us. 🇰🇷❤️

🥬 From homemade batches for friends to thousands of jars sold—Jiyoung Suk’s entrepreneurial journey is one worth celebrating!
Yesterday, Jiyoung shared how she built Ajumom Kimchi from the ground up, growing from small beginnings into a thriving business offering a variety of kimchi options at pop-up markets, festivals and retail locations across Tennessee.
She also hosts kimchi-making workshops, enjoys collaborating with local businesses and continues dreaming bigger—with plans to expand her retail and wholesale operations, grow online sales, enlarge her commercial kitchen and introduce Korean food catering services.
We especially appreciated the delicious samples she brought for our members to enjoy!
Thank you, Jiyoung, for sharing your inspiring story, exciting vision for the future and the incredible flavors of Ajumom Kimchi with the Crossville Noon Rotary. We cannot wait to see what comes next! 💙💛

Another chapter in the books. ❤️

Today we taught back-to-back kimchi classes (sometimes life just happens!).

A huge thank you to Dream Country Brewing
and Matt for opening up your space and making today possible.

We truly believe food has the power to encourage weary souls and comfort wounded hearts. Sometimes the simplest meal—like your mom’s home cooking—can make you feel seen, loved, and at home.

This week, we officially formed Ajumom LLC. On paper, we’re a corporation. But to us, we’re building something much bigger than a business. Our hope is to become a brand that brings comfort, encouragement, and a sense of home wherever our food goes.

We end today feeling hopeful. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and believed in our dream. ❤️

What a wonderful way to wrap up AAPI Month! We had such a great time making kimchi together. There’s something truly special about being surrounded by people who appreciate and celebrate your culture.

As Korean culture (K-beauty, K-dramas, K-food, and K-pop) continues to grow around the world, I feel incredibly privileged to play a small part in introducing and sharing it with our community here in Tennessee.

Hearing that some of you drove all the way from Spring Hill and even stayed overnight in a hotel just to attend the class absolutely blew my mind. It reminded me that what I do can have a meaningful impact, and it gives me an even greater sense of responsibility to continue sharing Korean culture with care and authenticity. Moments like that are also why I love what I do. ❤️

Can you believe that four of us are planning trips to see BTS on their upcoming tour? It turns out we’re all K-pop fans! 💜

We hope to host another Korean culinary class (🤫🥟) sometime soon and would love to see all of your beautiful faces again. Thank you for bringing such great energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. You were all amazing and made me feel right at home.

A big thank you to Hi-Wire Brewing Knoxville hosting us!

We are thrilled to announce that we are adding another kimchi workshop class! 🥬✨
(Did you notice we love working with bars and breweries? Honestly… who wouldn’t? 🤭 It’s chill, fun, and fermentation just belongs there.)

This special workshop at Dream Country Brewing is more than just a class — it’s a collaboration to celebrate and embrace the goodness of fermentation together. 🌶️🍺

Your ticket will include:
• A hands-on kimchi making workshop 👩🏻‍🍳
• Kimchi tasting 🥢
• 1 fermented drink of your choice — draft beer, kombucha, or cider 🍺🍎✨
• A jar of kimchi to take home 🫙🥬
• All materials included ✨

Come join Ajumom Kimchi at one of the newest hottest spots in Cookeville to learn, make, and taste your very own kimchi!
